With better conditions it was time to make up for last week’s poor showing.
Date: 23rd July 2011.
Course: Wolfedale Golf Course, Charminster
Conditions: Hot and sunny, a slight breeze to keep you cool enough, perfect.
The front 9 matched my personal best of the year, the back 9 was a shot higher than my PB, but the crucial difference was tying them both together. Previously it was good one half and average the other, it felt good to finally tie together a good front nine to a good back. The net result is I beat my best total score by four shots! That includes personal bests on two holes (11th and 14th).
Dad’s front 9 was a couple over his best but still a good score compared to earlier in the year, and his back was his second-best score of the year losing out by one shot. It was one shot over hsi best of the year but easily the second-best of the year by 3 shots.
Conditions couldn’t have been much better, not only that but we both felt up for proving last week’s scores wrong, and it shows in the scores this time.
In our own little competition, the difference between us was 19 so I won by one shot.

We are both still improving..
